Editorial Policy

Purpose of our game pages

Each Ontrick game page is intended to explain the broad gameplay category, help visitors get started and make it easier to discover another suitable title. A game listing should not be treated as a laboratory test or a guarantee of features. Embedded games can change without notice because their publishers maintain the playable versions.

Sources and verification

We use the game title, category, provider-supplied listing information and the visible website context to prepare descriptive copy. When we have not independently played or tested a game, we do not claim hands-on expertise, measured performance, exact device support or verified completion times. Controls and features must be checked in the game's own instructions. We aim to correct errors as they are reported.

Originality and added value

Our editorial goal is to avoid copying lengthy promotional descriptions from providers. We favour original explanations, useful starting advice, accurate classification and practical navigation. Repetition and generic filler do not help visitors. Large game directories require ongoing human review, and listings that lack adequate information should be improved or withheld from search indexing until they meet a reasonable quality standard.

Advertising independence

Advertisements, if enabled, are separate from editorial descriptions. We do not promise scores or pretend a game is objectively better because it displays advertising. We also aim to keep promotional material from disrupting gameplay and navigation. We do not use fabricated reviews or user testimonials.

Corrections and takedowns

To report a factual error, inappropriate content, outdated game or rights issue, email admin@ontrick.xyz. Include the affected page URL and supporting details. We may revise the description, remove the listing or disable an embed while reviewing the report.
